LIKE A RUNNING RIVER

It’s early in the morning. The sun begins to warm my skin as I run through the streets of the city, until I reach the river banks. The morning light reflects on the buildings of a large company, giving them a golden aura. I look up and see a sliver of moon peeking through the white clouds in the sky.

I arrive near a construction site and see three workers working on a red structure suspended in the air. A truck is arriving, bringing with it a new load to assemble. On the side, a group of people are having a lively discussion and they are all concentrated around a red folder that is being passed from hand to hand. I wondered what was in it. Projects, ambitions, days or months of study. Maybe.

I continue running, feeling the warmth of the sun enveloping me.

It’s March, the month dedicated to women. And, also today, I feel ready to be the protagonist of my day.
