‘Le Stagioni D’Italia’ wins ‘Elected Product of the Year 2023′ award – in the frozen pizza category. An award made even more prestigious because it was based exclusively on consumer votes that judged this product as the best and most delicious frozen pizza of the category. This is the result of a survey that the CIRCANA research institute carries out every year on a sample of more than 12,000 Italian consumers who are asked to express their opinion, in terms of satisfaction and innovation, for each product category.

‘Le Stagioni D’Italia’, a brand of the B.F. spa Group, is present on the shelves of the large-scale retail trade with a rich offer of products, including pasta, rice, herbal teas, tomato derivatives, pulses and many others, all characterised by controlled supply chains, from field to table, strictly 100% Italian. The latest in the frozen sector is frozen pizza, which stands out for the excellence of its raw materials, among which is the Senatore Cappelli ancient variety of wheat, known since the last century as the King of Italian wheat for its organoleptic and nutritional properties. This supply chain is also managed internally by the company, starting with the seed, certified and guaranteed pure, grown in the Group’s own fields using precision farming techniques – to save natural resources and reduce the CO2 impact – and arriving at the company’s mills, one of which is a stone mill, where it is processed into semolina. The process continues with a slow and natural 24-hour rising of the dough. Seasoned with pearls of mozzarella and freshly picked Italian tomatoes, it ends with baking on stone and in a wood-fired oven.

Italy is ever-more confirmed as the country of pizza, a fact proven by the increase in sales (+4.2% in value, a.t. November 2022, source NielsenIQ) and by the number of purchasing families, up by 4% with 85.7% of Italians declaring that they like and consume it, as revealed by a survey commissioned to AstraRicerche by Findus. The top segment also includes ‘Le Stagioni d’Italia’ frozen pizza, which, as Francesco Formisano, Managing Director BF Agro-Industriale, explains: “Early results show that our brand distinctiveness is paying off.
